Day 1
Arusha – Serengeti National Park (via Ngorongoro)
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park (approx. 8 hours including stops), passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
- Ngorongoro Crater Viewpoint Stop: Take a short 20-minute break at the gate and viewpoint to admire the breathtaking crater scenery.
- Optional Maasai Village Visit: Learn about Maasai culture, traditions, and history (approx. 20–45 minutes). This is optional and not included in the safari price. Many guests choose to skip it.
Arrive in the Seronera area (Central Serengeti) in the late afternoon for a game drive. Enjoy the Serengeti sunset and wildlife viewing, with chances to spot predators like lions, leopards, or cheetahs in action.

Later, check in to your midrange lodge – Serengeti Matawi Camp (or a lodge of similar standard depending on availability). Wildlife, mostly hyenas, may be seen near the lodge, but active rangers ensure guest safety.

Day 2
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Simba Campsite / Lodge)
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Serengeti, taking advantage of prime wildlife viewing hours. Return to camp for breakfast and lunch.

After lunch, continue your journey out of Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game drives along the way. Arrive at Simba Campsite / Ngorongoro Ang’ata Camp near the crater rim in the late afternoon. Wildlife is often visible near the camp, enhancing the safari experience.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. With some luck, you may spot the rare black rhinoceros, one of the crater’s permanent residents.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, then ascend to the rim. Pack your belongings and drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
