Join Chimera African Safaris’ 14 Days Tanzania Volunteering Program and experience meaningful community engagement while discovering the culture and everyday life of Tanzania.

This program is designed for volunteers who want to contribute to local education initiatives while experiencing Tanzania beyond traditional tourism. Volunteers spend weekdays working with our partner school and supporting educational activities based on the needs of the local community.

The program begins with airport arrival, orientation and an introduction to Arusha. Volunteers then visit our partner school for a detailed program orientation before beginning their volunteering activities.

From Day 4 to Day 7, volunteers participate in the school program each day and return to the volunteer hub after their activities. The weekend is flexible: participants can choose a safari, cultural experience, local activities or simply relax at the hub.

The final volunteering period takes place from Day 10 to Day 13, followed by departure on Day 14.

This is more than a volunteer trip—it is an opportunity to connect with local communities, experience Tanzanian culture and contribute your time and skills to education.

Day 1 :

Arrival in Tanzania & Transfer to the Volunteer Hub

Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by a representative from Chimera African Safaris and transferred to the volunteer accommodation/hub in Arusha.

After arrival, you will have time to settle into your accommodation, rest and meet other volunteers or members of the local team.

Day 2 :

Volunteer Orientation & Arusha Town Tour

Depending on the schedule, the town tour may include local markets, important town landmarks and other areas of interest.

Day 3 :

Today you will visit one of Chimera's local partner schools.
